Our acoustical data comes from a hydrophone, bottom-mounted and deployed from the end of the RTC research pier. The sound is cabled to a data acquisition system in Building 54, and data are transmitted to the main SFSU campus via the internet. There we produce the spectrograms and other data displays on this site.
